Happy Sunday, Bobcat Ohana!
It is hard to believe that we have already reached the final week of our first quarter! As we approach the end of the quarter, I encourage all of our families to connect with your child’s teacher and schedule a parent-teacher conference. These conversations are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child’s successes, discuss their progress, and work together to identify ways we can continue to support their learning and growth. Strong partnerships between home and school make such a difference for our students, and I truly appreciate your continued collaboration.
We are also excited to welcome a very special guest to Baldwin Park Elementary! Thanks to the generous support of the Bobcat Fund, our students will have the opportunity to participate in an author visit with Shawna Tenney, author of Anonymoose, one of this year’s Sunshine State Junior Books. We are so grateful to the Bobcat Fund for continuing to provide our students with meaningful and engaging educational experiences that help foster a love of reading.
On Thursday, many of our classrooms will participate in Launch Across America, an exciting STEM opportunity that encourages students to reach for the stars. This leads into Friday, which is Rock Your School! This year’s theme is “Rocking the Multiverse,” and Friday is certainly not a day to miss! Students will have the opportunity to participate in exciting activities and experiences throughout the school as we celebrate learning, creativity, and the joy of being a Bobcat. We are looking forward to a fun-filled day!
As we wrap up our first quarter, I want to wish all of our Bobcat families a restful and enjoyable long weekend. As a friendly reminder, there is no school on Monday, October 12, as it is a teacher workday. Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support of our students and staff. I am so proud of the wonderful things happening at Baldwin Park Elementary, and I look forward to all that this next quarter will bring!
Go Bobcats! 💙🐾
Sincerely,
Mrs. Galvin-Prepetit
