Happy Sunday, Bobcat Ohana!

Did you remember to turn your clocks back today? That’s right—we get one extra hour of sleep, and I think we can all agree that we could use it after such a fun-filled week! Between the full moon, Red Ribbon Week, and our AMAZING Character Parade, there was certainly no shortage of excitement at Baldwin Park Elementary. A heartfelt thank-you to our teachers, staff, and families for your continued partnership in bringing learning to life and making school FUN! The clocks may have turned back, but the celebrations at BPE are still going strong!

Last week, Mr. Reese and I had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate nine incredible fifth-grade students who earned a PERFECT score on the Science PMA 1! This assessment measures students’ mastery of the science content taught during the first quarter, and these Bobcats absolutely ROCKED it! Each student was recognized on our morning announcements, received a Certificate of Achievement, and took home a lab coat of their very own. Let’s give a special Bobcat shout-out to Elliot, Aiden, Levi, Juniper, Samuel, Leela, Luca, Celine, and Emerson! Congratulations, Bobcats! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!

We also have another exciting reason to celebrate! The Florida Department of Education recently announced the 2025–2026 Schools of Excellence, and Baldwin Park Elementary has once again earned this well-deserved distinction! This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our incredible staff, the support of our families, and our collective commitment to providing rich, engaging, and diverse educational experiences for every Bobcat. What an accomplishment for our BPE Ohana!

And what better way to celebrate all of these wonderful accomplishments than with a magical night under the stars? I can’t wait to see everyone this Friday evening at our Starlight Soiree, sponsored by our amazing PTA! This special (adults-only) evening is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our BPE community, enjoy the festivities, and bid on an exciting array of items in the silent auction. It’s not too late to purchase your tickets! Please see the flyer and ticket link below for all the details. It is sure to be a fabulous evening, and I look forward to celebrating with you!

Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead!

Go Bobcats! 💙🐾

Sincerely,

Mrs. Galvin-Prepetit
