BPE Family,
What an amazing field day we had just before we left for spring break. Thank you to Coach Paino and Coach Silver for getting everything planned and organized for our students. Also, thank you to all our volunteers who came and helped out. I hope that everyone had a relaxing and fun filled spring break.
I cannot believe that we are already starting our 4th and final 9 weeks for this school year. This is the time of year that we start to wrap up the amazing instruction that has been occurring and start to get our bobcats ready for next school year. If you have any concerns about your students’ progress, please contact your child’s teacher so that you can ensure they are prepared for success as we get ready to close-out the 2025 – 2026 school year.
Parents as we return from the week off, please speak with your students and remind them of appropriate behavior at school. We often notice that after some time off from school students come back and forget the basics of proper behavior and conduct at school. Also remind them that although we are quickly approaching the end of the year and there are many fun things planned that there is still A LOT of learning to do so they need to remain focused on their learning and academics.
As we enter the final quarter of the year, I want to emphasize the need for students to arrive on time to school. Prior to spring break, I noticed an uptick in the amount of students arriving tardy each day. It is imperative that our students arrive on time so they can get their day started in their classes and not miss any valuable instructional time.
With that being said it is also important that students stay in school for the entirety of the school day. Early sign outs also lead to loss of valuable instruction for our students. Please keep this in mind when scheduling appointments or anything that might cause you to have to sign out your student early from school.
Finally, as you know we have many events coming up as we head towards the end of this school year. One of the things I love most about our school and community is the parent support and participation at our events. In an effort to make our events as smooth as possible we request for teachers to provide us with the names of parents or family members who will be in attendance prior to the event so we can have visitor badges ready to go.
As you can imagine, this takes quite a bit of time prior to the event. We kindly ask that if you submit your name to your teacher because you plan to volunteer or attend an event that if something arises where you can no longer attend that you kindly let your teacher know. We have noticed recently that after our events we have quite a few pre-printed badges left for those who did not attend.
That is all for this week. Have a great rest of your weekend!
