Principal's Message

Happy Sunday, Bobcat Families!

We hope you are enjoying a wonderful long weekend with your families! Thank you to everyone who participated in National College Colors Day on Friday. UCF came out strong in their first game of the season, but there was certainly a lot of blue and orange represented in our hallways. It was so much fun seeing our Bobcats show their school spirit and celebrate the various colleges and the many possibilities and bright futures that await them. We are grateful for the energy and enthusiasm you bring to our Baldwin Park Elementary Ohana!

As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we take a moment to remember the lives that were lost and the families, communities, and nation forever changed by that day. Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) annually observes Patriot Day and honors the victims and first responders of the September 11 attacks. At Baldwin Park Elementary, we are especially grateful for the brave men and women who serve our communities each day. We sincerely thank our first responders for their courage, commitment, and dedication to keeping others safe. Please join our BPE Ohana in honoring Patriot Day by wearing patriotic clothing on Friday, September 11. Together, we can help our students understand the importance of remembering, honoring, and showing gratitude to those who have made a difference in the lives of others.

A friendly reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. We hope you enjoy this extra day to rest, recharge, and spend quality time together. We look forward to welcoming our Bobcats back to school on Tuesday!

We also want to share an important safety reminder regarding e-bikes and e-scooters. The OCPS grace period for these devices ended on Friday, September 4. In accordance with the OCPS Micromobility Policy, e-bikes, e-scooters, and other motorized micromobility devices are not permitted on Baldwin Park Elementary property. We ask our families to please make alternative transportation arrangements for students who have been using these devices. This policy is in place to help us maintain a safe environment for all of our students and families. Bringing or riding an e-bike or e-scooter on school property after the grace period is a violation of the Student Code of Conduct and may result in disciplinary action. We appreciate your partnership and support in keeping our Bobcats safe each day.

Have a safe and wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Go Bobcats! 💙🐾

Sincerely,
Mrs. Galvin-Prepetit

FAST PM1 testing is complete. To view results, simply log in to the FOCUS parent portal and click on the "Florida Statewide Assessments" logo. That will take you to the Florida Department of Education's Family Portal where your student's most recent test scores should appear.

As you review your child’s PM1 results, please remember that PM1 serves as baseline data and provides a starting point for the school year. These assessments measure students against end-of-year grade-level expectations, so results may indicate areas where your child is still developing the skills and knowledge they are expected to master by the end of the year.

If you have questions or concerns about your child’s results, we encourage you to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher to schedule a conference and discuss their individual progress and next steps.
